Dr. Umasankar Kalai, Consultant Pulmononologist & Managing Director of  Srinivasa Chest and Neuro Speciality, Erode. Dr Umasakar is an alumnus from the India’s oldest medical school, Madras Medical College. He passed his MBBS with distinction and holds the meritorious AL Mudaliar endowment prize for topping in profession MBBS final exam. He went to PGIMER, Chandigarh for pursuing MD internal Medicine. During his MD curriculum he has participated in the Indo – US CPC conference competition and holds the record for winning first place in two consecutive times in Coimbatore and Baroda. • He has 1 year training in hematoncology as senior resident. Under the able guidance of his teachers from PGIMER he joined the India’s apex medical institute AIIMS, New Delhi in the department of Pulmonology. He underwent world class professional training in the field of critical care, interventional pulmonology and sleep medicine under Padma Shri Prof.Randeep Guleria and Prof G.C.Khilnani.
